Pensions peak freaks!!

Current rating: 5/5

When times are hard, as they are at the moment, it becomes more important to help those who are not as fortunate as yourself.

Throwing all caution to the wind (and rain and sleet and hail no doubt) some of us from the pensions team will be entering the Fidelity 10 Peaks Challenge in the Brecon Beacons on 18th June.

We will be attempting to raise over £3,000 by scaling 10 peaks in the Brecon Beacons in under 10 hours for the Mitchemp Trust, a charity that helps vulnerable 11 to 14 year olds to make a positive contribution to society.

So far the hardest part of our ordeal has been to allocate the obligatory nick names for the team, so joining me on this challenge will be Guy “Wind Proof” Bysouth, Laurie “First Aid” Giles, Mike “Bootsey” Weston and Jeremy “Sherpa” Williams. Collectively we are known as the DMGT Peak Freaks.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will be gratefully received, so if you would like to sponsor the DMGT Peak Freaks, please click here.

Small plug for gift aid here - Make sure you maximise all your donations to charity through gift aid. Gift aid increases the value of donations to charities by allowing them to reclaim basic rate tax on your gift. And, if you pay higher rate tax you can claim tax relief on your donations.
