I’m passionate about finding ways to save money; whether it’s for me and my family or for A&N Media employees. I particularly like it when I am given money for spending – what could be better?
I periodically move credit cards, always chasing the biggest cash-back return. As I clear the card each month, this makes sense to me. However it was only 18 months or so ago that I was introduced to the concept of getting cashback on my online spending. There are plenty of websites offering this but I use the A&N Rewards site that I introduced into the company a year ago.
In less than 12 months I’ve made around £180 in cashback through retailers I already shopped with. I also make the most of discounted vouchers and up-front online discounts.
More money for spending comes from supermarket schemes. I’ve just cashed in £52 worth of Tesco vouchers (spend in store value, but really just free money) for four tickets to Legoland, which would have cost me around £115. Having never been, the kids and I can’t wait for the tickets to arrive, whilst my vertigo-suffering husband is hoping they will get lost in the post!
I love my cashback credit card too. As long as you clear the balance each month like you say Sharn.
Did you know that the company will automatically put you in a pension scheme next year?

Lou, I agree with you on the cashback credit cards - you can get some great deals.
I was always taught to stay well clear of the credit cards as they were an unnecessary evil; however since discovering cashback schemes a couple of years ago I have managed to claim back over £400 (building work on the house meant we had some big costs that could be charged to the cards).
The trick is to set up a direct debit and pay off your bills every month - otherwise the interest charged negates any benefits!
