Getting help

message in a bottle which reads help

Keep up to date with DMGT's consumer site, This is Money, which has a wealth of information about investing.

The best way to invest your money varies from person to person so it's always best to get independent financial advice. Your adviser should complete a full financial questionnaire to work out your personal investment objectives and your attitude to risk.

They will want to find out if you want access to your investments and how long you want to invest for. They'll also need to know if you have any particular requirements - maybe you want to invest ethically.

My local adviser and Unbiased are sites giving details of investment advisers in your area who may be able to help you.

You may wish to use our Time for money partners, Hargreaves Lansdown, to give you advice.

You can find a fund manager on the Investment Management Association website.

The Ethical Investment Association (EIA) is an association of financial advisers from around the UK, dedicated to the promotion of green and ethical investment. And YourEthicalMoney.org provides information on green and ethical finance.

The Motley Fool is designed to educate, amuse and enrich those of you who are interested in investments.

Use the Unclaimed Assets Register to trace forgotten investments.
