Accessibility

Welcome to timeformoney.co.uk.

Daily Mail and General Trust plc (DMGT), who operate timeformoney.co.uk ("our site"), is committed to communicating in a clear and effective way and making our services accessible to all DMGT employees (including those with visual, hearing, cognitive or motor impairments) and to meet our statutory obligations defined by the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

Our target is to conform to the 'Double-A' standard, as set out by the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C), who set globally agreed standards on accessibility.

Web accessibility means access to the internet by everyone, regardless of disability. This means that people with disabilities (including visual impairment and physical limitations in using a mouse or keyboard) should be able to perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with websites and online applications and that these should work well with the assistive technologies which some people with disabilities use to access the internet - such as screen readers, screen magnifiers and text-to-speech devices.

We have designed our site to be educational, informative and accessible to a wide range of employees. If you have any problems using our site or require information in another format, please let us know.

Improving accessibility
As part of our commitment to continuously improving the level of accessibility within our site, we aim to ensure that the design, navigation and functionality will be available and inclusive for all employees regardless of their location, internet experience, and the type of technology used.

Access keys have been constructed to allow users to navigate around the most frequently used areas of our site without using the mouse. To use the Access key on a PC, hold down the Alt key and press the appropriate number, then Enter/Return. To be reminded of our Access keys, press Alt a and Return from any page in the site to display a full list. Access key functionality on a Mac system is triggered by pressing Ctrl h.

You can navigate to these different sections using your browser as follows:

Design
Our site has been optimised to be viewed at a monitor resolution of 1024 x 768 within the following browsers or, their corresponding higher version numbers:

• Firefox 3 plus
• Google Chrome 3 plus
• Internet Explorer 8 plus
• Opera 9 plus
• Safari 2 plus

(Whilst our site may operate with alternative browsers and monitor settings which are less than 1024 x 768, we cannot guarantee that the "look and feel" of our site will be the same).

The colour combinations have been checked to ensure appropriate colour contrast and colour difference. The pages are not based on frames and can therefore be printed easily.

The text within the content pages has been set to relative sizes, which can be increased or decreased for more comfortable screen reading.

Text equivalents have been provided for every non-text element, ALT tags provided for all images and long descriptions for charts and graphs.

Navigation
The navigation has been designed to be as user-friendly as possible, allowing all site content to be viewed within the minimum number of mouse clicks. It is also possible to access pages of our site by using the site map.

Navigation routes have been developed to be as accessible as possible and compatible with the types of adaptive technology tools used by people with disabilities, including screen readers.
